……..
Today is bittersweet. I am so proud to be part of the Graduating Class of 2013, but sad to say goodbye. So excited to see what’s next, but scared shitless of the unknown. So happy I could share this day, these weeks, my show, with people who mean so much in my life, but melancholic at the one who couldn’t be here. There are no words to express the emptiness I feel, how my family has become 3 rather than 4, how the most inspiring person in my life did not get to see my collection or my graduation. It seems that the world is going out of it’s way to remind me. It’s mother’s day, and I know she’s out there, somewhere dancing around the universe like a fairy, smiling down. A quote, “I would be nothing without my blessed angel mother.”
So. Here’s to the future, here’s to the past, here’s to the present.
And remember…
“Live! Live the wonderful life that is in you! Let nothing be lost upon you. Be always searching for new sensations. Be afraid of nothing.”
